The aim is to achieve the arrangement of a multicoloured mandala to be scattered by the wind at the end. The active prior participation of the audience is necessary for this format to work. To become a playwright of the show, each of the 25 viewers of "Happy Beckett" must visit the site happybeckett.com, choose a date, complete a poll, and only then buy a ticket.

The Debuts on the Edge Series presents: No Exit
theatre | 7 February | Wednesday | 19:30 Red hall | bg | 90 min | Tickets: 12/10 BGN
No Exit is a theatre adaptation of a play written by Jean-Paul Sartre – philosopher, writer and Nobel Prize winner. Three strangers are damned in Hell. Striving for salvation makes them face their own weaknesses and leads them to extremes. Hell is a place where life, character and existence are unthinkable unless we have a mirror to reflect us. The corrective is other people. No Exit is a provocation to reach for our goals and search ways to achieve them.
The verdict is free choice. A choice we have no courage to make.
The performance is produced by Other Line Theatre.
Directing, adaptation and sound: Darey Chavdarov Stage and costume design: Rositsa Grancharova Technical management: Peter Sapondzhiev Translation: Mariya Koeva Cast: Radoslav Vladimirov, Martina Krasteva, Nadya Keranova. Duration: 80 min.
The series "Debuts on the Ege" has existed since 2005. It presents new and surprising projects that test the boundaries of different genres and are hard to accomodate in traditional cultural spaces. More than a hundred authors and performers have already presented their works within the series in The Red House, which has established itself as a natural home to the unusual points of view in art. The seminar "Interactive Cultures" presents: Management as an Ideology?
While trust in politicians fades, it seems faith in good managers is becoming stronger. A good manager is a technocrat who can handle science-based methods, facts and figures; his decisions are evaluated in accordance with a consensus scale of objective indicators. Does this trend betray a certain kind of ideology? What dangers, for example, can the management approach bring to the cultural sphere? A debate with the participation of Prof. Gilles Rouet (Higher Institute of Management in Versailles, France); Assoc. Prof. Georgi Valchev (deputy dean of Sofia University and head of the Master's Programme in Management and Socialization of Cultural Heritage of the Department of History and Theory of Culture); students in communication management and cultural organization management from France and Bulgaria.

Trans-European Debates for the European Parliament (TEDEP):
Shared Economy as a Form of Alternative Employment
student debate and lecture | 11 Febr. | Sunday | 13:30 Thracian University, Stara Zagora | Free entrance
Can shared economy provide alternative employment for European citizens, or is it a threat to regular business? This topic will be debated by students from the debate clubs in Stara Zagora. The debate will open with a lecture by Todor Yalamov, associate professor at the Faculty of Economics, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
In 2016, the European Commission declared its support for the so-called "economy of co-operation." It advised Member States not to forbid or hinder it with over-regulation. "The next economic miracle in Europe can be born in the context of shared economy. Our role is to encourage regulations that help the development of new business models while protecting consumers and guaranteeing fair taxation and working conditions," said Commission Vice-President Ikari Katyanen. In 2017, however, the European Court of Justice ruled that Uber's car reservation service is in the transport sector and therefore EU countries can regulate the conditions for its provision. The Court stated that, as follows from EU legislation , Member States must regulate the conditions under which such services are provided, in accordance with the general rules of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, so that the question of shared economy is once again at a crossroads. Student debaters will counterpose the main arguments for and against the development of shared economy in the European Union.
The debate is part of the TEDEP (Trans-European Debates on the European Parliament) project, which is supported by the European Parliament (EP). The EP is not responsible for the theses, comments and opinions expressed during the event. About the lecturer Todor Yalamov is the author of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) chapter in the Annual Report "Innovations.BG" of the Applied Research and Communications Foundation. He explores the use and impact of ICT on business, teaches e-business at Sofia University and has experience in supporting business incubators and entrepreneurship in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
About the project TEDEP (Trans-European Debates on the European Parliament) is a Red House project in partnership with the youth Debates Association, the European Time to Talk debate network, the Belgian debating organization Deburen and the Serbian Centre for Cultural Decontamination. Important EU topics will be debated in a variety of contexts within the project, whic include a variety of perspectives - from regional youth debates to national and trans-European ones. The project is implemented with the support of the European Parliament (EP). The EP is not responsible for the theses, comments and opinions expressed during the events.
About the Debate Association The Debate Association is a non-governmental organization working for the development and popularization of debates among young people in Bulgaria. Its activities reach over 700 young people annually who participate in training, as well as national and international debate tournaments.

a workshop for actors with Ovanes Torosyan | 26-28 Feb. | Bg Monday-Wednesday | 10:00-14:00 | Red hall | Entrance: 100 BGN
The One Who Wanted is a new platform for enriching acting skills. In three consecutive days, we will explore your individual actor's nature, recall some basic things, and do some exercises to achieve (hopefully) better results in the practical part of the acting profession. The purpose of the training is to enhance the actor's skills and knowledge and to help maintain the actor's condition, as well as learn new techniques. We believe that practice on stage helps the artist build qualities like self-esteem, responsibility and an ability to communicate fully, while also enriching his/her imagination and unleashing his/her potential; or, to put it simply, the artist develops.
The workshop has a capacity of 20 people and is open only to students in the field of art and colleagues with acting education. Students under the age of 18 and people without a direct connection to the theatrical art cannot participate.
For more information and consultations: Ovanes Torosyan, 0988 895 177.
The online sale ends 3 days before the event. Tickets are sold until the start of the event every working day between 9:00 and 21:00 at the Red House desk at 15 L. Karavelov Str., Sofia 1142.

Led by the actors of Vox Populi, the audience of the performance will walk to three significant streets in Sofia to witness situations from a parallel city life. In front of memorials, garbage containers, graffiti art and invisible hiding places, they will suddenly hear the city's enigmatic inhabitants speak the people who take care of what "remains", of what we leave behind.

The performance starts at The Red House and will be presented outdoors.
* Due to the specifics of the show, the maximum number of viewers is limited to 15 people. You need to reserve a place in advance by e-mailing [email protected].
The performance is a joint initiative of VOX POPULI Documentary Theatre Studio, the Ecological Association "For the Earth" and students of Cultural Studies at Sofia University.
The performance is part of the project "School for Sustainable Development and Activism" implemented by "For the Earth" and "Friends of the Earth-Europe." It aims to promote informal methods of environmental education with a focus on practical knowledge and building an informed civilian position on global topics that affect people and nature.
During the first stage of the project, in May-June 2017, a field study was organized in which the team met with dozens of recyclers in different parts of Sofia. Most of the garbage collection points in the city were visited and the team collected the stories of the people who visit them every day and feed themselves and their families with the money received. These "anonymous" garbage collectors, who often face our apathy and suspicion, are in fact among the most important engines for the constant renewal of Sofia and the preservation of its appearance.
"Friends of the Earth Bulgaria" is thankful for the financial support of the European Union. The content of this event and the materials presented in it do not reflect the positions of the European Union. The European Union is not responsible for the information provided during the event.
